MY MENU

When you finally grab one these kittens will expect you to be good companions as they are. Yes, the Dwelf is a good cat breed for families, especially in homes where someone is home most of the time. Their have a personality similar to puppy which also makes them great companions for dogs as well, but care should be taken to ensure the dog treats the cat gently to avoid injuries.  They aren’t big fans of being left alone for long periods, though. Their social nature makes them suitable for family homes that visitors frequent. Find a Dwelf cat for sale here or enter our waiting list if there is none available at the moment. PLEASE NOTE:   This is a Hobby and not a Business.  Make Money Orders or Cashier's Cheques out to me and not Dwelf palace.  No Personal Cheques.

These are extremely sweet, outgoing, people oriented cats.

Grooming ✂️

Since this breed is hairless, its skin needs extra attention instead as there isn't any fur to absorb the oil that builds up on their skin, you’ll need to bathe your Dwelf cat regularly. Some have more wrinkles which should be cleaned. Bacteria can easily become trapped in those wrinkles. Make sure to clean them thoroughly when giving them a bath. Clean your Dwelf cat’s ears regularly as well, since they don’t have hair in their ears which means dirt can build up and make them sick.

Health 🏥

For the moment, Dwelf cats is considered to be a healthy, hardy breed. They are still a fairly new breed so not much is known about their health and the conditions they might end up having. Nevertheless, there are a couple of serious and minor conditions you should be on the lookout for with your Dwelf cat. While many of these conditions haven’t been found in the breed, they are found in the parents they are bred from, so it’s best to be on the lookout. If you notice these conditions or symptoms of them in your cat, it’s best to make an appointment with your vet right away for diagnosis and treatment options or contact us to received guidelines on what to do.

Training 🧶

Dwelf cats are an intelligent breed, so training them to use the litter box shouldn’t be much of a challenge. However, they can be independent and stubborn, so as with any cat, it may take a little more training to teach them not to claw the furniture.

Their legs are super short, so you won’t find them on top of a bookcase, but they do tend to be creative in finding ways to get on counters and tables if that’s where they decide they want to be. Other than that, there is very little you can do to train a cat.

SUMMARY OF CATTERY IMPROVEMENTS

We regularly try to change and improve our breeding program to offer our clients the most beautiful and healthiest Dwelf kittens.

At first I was breeding only Munchkin and Sphynx  kittens from the same. No excitement.

I have walked a long way from that time and have learned a lot about genetics in order to improve upon the breeds we offer.

Genetics is my interest and cat breeding is my hobby.

The  most important thing is - because these are cross between breeds - there is no inbreeding involved and these kittens are very healthy.

Our biggest improvement this year is really significant for our cattery

Be patient!  These very special kittens are coming....

We recommend you get two kittens. 2 kittens will keep each other company when you are not home. Each kitten needs at least one feline and one human companion. We also discount the second kitten and we charge only one shipping fee for both.

Unfortunately, your elderly cat is not a suitable companion for a young kitten. He can watch the kitten play, but will not interact much with him, so even if you do have a cat at home, you still need to consider two young kittens.
